JohnBoy JohnBoy Lurker Registered: 2002-06-26 Posts: 4	I'm fairly new to Kixtart and I'm having a bit of a problem with INGroup and Windows 9x systems. We have a Windows NT 4.0 domain. Last week all appeared to be working as desired. This is no longer the case. Windows 9x systems are once again unable to establish automatic drive mappings based upon domain group membership. KixRPC service had been (and still is)installed on one of my backup domain controllers. It appears to be active and alive (no errors). A kixtart.ini file was placed within the NETLOGON share of all other domain controllers. This INI file simply points to the BDC that's running the KixRPC service. It's contents are as such: [KIXRPCMapping] {NT1SF} = \\{SFBDC1} Default = \\{SFBDC1} The users assigned profile points to a batch file called "kixscript.bat". It reads as such: @ECHO OFF %0\..\Kix32 %0\..\KIXScript EXIT 0 The called kixscript.kix file reads as such: CLS If SETTITLE ("Kixtart Login") = 0 Endif SETTIME "\\SFPDC1" If Exist ("J:\WTSRV") =1 goto ("End") EndIF IF INGROUP ("WIN2KSHARE") CALL "WIN2KSHARE.kix" ENDIF IF INGROUP ("SF-MIS") CALL "SF-MIS.KIX" ENDIF IF INGROUP ("SF-DECNOW") CALL "SF-DECNOW.KIX" ENDIF IF INGROUP ("IESEC01") CALL "FCOMP.Kix" ENDIF :END I'm at a loss to understand why this has ceased to function since nothing has been modified (that I'm aware of). Les Les KiX Master Registered: 2001-06-11 Posts: 12734 Loc: fortfrances.on.ca	Check your KIXTART.LOG for errors. Maybe you need to reboot the DC. The villian turns out to be a Network provider registry setting that needed to be modified. This was the result of our present utilization of Netware and Microsoft clients on our workstations.
