thanks - yes I just been and confirmed that very same thing by getting the scheduler to use a local admin account - sure enough the log entries disappear.

the 'new' scheduler you mention - is it part of SP6a or a separate upgrade ? - I'm currently using SP5 for all the boxes I have running these scripts.
