I need to deploy scripts out that that manipulate the menu on user logon (basically a netlogon script)

any scripts out there that can manipulate the menu?

basically. after win10 is installed , a whole crap load of bloatware is included

I want to remove
Live at a glance (text line), calendar, mail, photos, weather, phone companion, OneNote

Play and Explore (text line), xbox, groove music, movies & tv, money, news, Get Office

I then want to pin to start (outlook2010/2013, word 2010/2013, excel 2010/2013, powerpoint 2010/2013, Control Panel (the old style), Windows Update, Devices and Printers)

I believe for win7, I'm using allan's PinTo. its not working for win 8.1/10 obviously.

At this point I'm finding it easier to install ClassicShell (not going down the road of Start8/10 again). To me, all this "flash" on the start menu is distracting.

I haven't looked/investigated, but I wouldn't be surprised if they make it all but impossible to programmatically add and remove the shortcuts on this new menu. Of course, they said it wasn't possible to pin in Win 7/8, but we all know that turned out to not be true.

The lack of control on win 8.1 is why we only ended up with couple tablets with win 8 pro on them. Useless. Just like the server version.

Since this one is going to be used by enterprises I would imagine there will be a way to clean it. GPO perhaps?

in windows 8 you got some of the clutter removed by uninstalling the offending software from your image.
