All,

Sorry to be so pitiful, but I found the above named document somewhere recently, but now it has vanished from my desk (except for the first few pages). I would like to find it and print it again. Alas, I don't remember where I found it, and my attempts to locate it have failed.

So, can someone point me to a location where I can download and print this document again?

many thanks,
Loren.....

Well... there's always the Word doc that ships with KiX as an old standby but I prefer the html help file from www.ScriptLogic.com

Loren,

Another helpful doc is the Help file (.CHM) available right here - http://kixtart.org/downloads.html

Now, that I think about it. You maybe looking for CJ's - Condensed Kixtart Manual.

All,

Tnanks, and Kent, I wiped away the coffee spill on a page that was left for me (I don't drink coffee), and I saw in the corner that it was from CJ's page. I now have another copy and copies of the other ones mentioned.

Thanks all,
Loren......

I always use the online manual at
Helpdesk.Kixtart.Org

Who set up that page by the way? , I find it extremely well done.

Brian Peterson set that up. He's a member here at "the org" - his handle is KiXtart_HelpDesk and posts now and then - it is quite well done, isn't it ?

FYI -- The online manual over at helpdesk.kixtart.org is purly the content from the HTML manual that ScriptLogic compiles -- obviously ripped and posted in raw html.

Wouldn't it be nice if Brian P. would have left the "This HTML help system is maintained by ScriptLogic Corporation. For updates to KiXtart and this help system, please visit www.scriptlogic.com/kixtart ." in his ripped online version -- but it was obviosuly ommitted.

For anyone interested, you can download the latest 4.10 HTML help now from http://www.scriptlogic.com/kixtart

-- is it safe to assume that the helpdesk site will be updated shortly? And more importantly, I wonder if this time we get credit for creating the HTML content...

Brian,
I appreciate the time ScriptLogic took to compile the .CHM manual. I suggest it to many and I use it as my primary resource.

I hope you and Henri can expedite making a copy of the new 4.10 version available on http://kixtart.org/downloads.html ASAP.

There may be times that I quote short passages from it without giving credit to the author but when I take larger portions, I always include the credit. This, you can see on some of my posted FAQs.

Thanks

Dear Brian,

We appreciate always that people do their best for the kixtart community.
It is very bad, when other persons are ripping or cracking work from you.
We disapprove such behaviour.
We doesn't understand why you are removing URL links from the documentation,
when Ruud van Velsen tries to keep his list of interesting KiXtart sites so
actual as possible.
By skipping author name it becomes also difficult to find the latest actual
release.

We appreciate also, that Scriptlogic support this kixtart community board.
We doesn't see very much (agressive) commercial activities from you on this
board. Our experiences are that other organization are tyring to push their
commercial products.
We see only good input from you and we are very sure it is only a piece of
the iceberg Scriptlogic is doing for KiXtart.

We love it to be a little backup of some interesting parts of your site.
The interesting parts are
Also it can be useful from some people to know that the previous
HTML Help Files from Scriptlogic can be find on our site.

At least Brian the good news is that everybody can find now the latest
KiXtart 4.10 manual on your site. Good work and thanks for it.

thanks & greetings.

Reply to Brian Styles.

I was very sorry to read your posting regarding ripping off "your" manual.

The on-line manual which can be found on helpdesk.kixtart.org WAS NOT ripped from you.
In fact, the first on-line manual was produced BEFORE you even compiled the first CHM-file.

The on-line manual is a cut-and-paste product of the official Word-manual which comes with KiXtart.
So if my manual is a rip-off so is yours!!

I hope you all will excuse my harm and I look forward to an appology from Brian Styles.

/Brian Petersen
