We now use McAfee 4.5 on servers and workstation. But we're about to switch to TrendMicro ServerProtect and TrendMicro Officescan

Dear,
We are using Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition v8.1 too, but in some special computers we are running at the same time McAfee AntiVirus. Those computers are using also their own firewall and spyware software. greetings.

We are pretty much married to McAfee. I hate that though as there are others with a smaller footprint like Panda.. The big pig I complain about is the Frameworkservice (Architect).
We use McAfee Version 7.1 with ePO 3.01. Both serve use well and are automated with DAT deployment, etc.
Sheesh.

Just curious how you get both AV programs to run on the same system. I have actually attempted this on a workstation in the past with both Norton AV and McAfee and they DID NOT like being together. Each one kept stepping on the other one trying to gain control of files for checking.

90% of our company is running Norton 7.60, but in a few weeks they'll be upgraded to Sav 8.1.1 build 319. It is very easy to maintain, although it sucks as far as reporting unless you want to work with ams logs or export the SSC data to excel.
I have had very few problems with Norton once it's installed...

Dear NTDOC,
We are running it on windows me clients installed. It is a very pure environment. No programs like i.e. Office and company software can't be running on them. NAV is updated automatically. McAfee is updated manually. Such environments were required because we discover that in some cases NAV was missing something on some computers with some very specific company software. So, our organization had introduced dedicated computers for transfering data in and out. greetings.

My Company is using the whole McAfee suite as posted above, except that we do not use EPO...
Normally updates are handled at logon, and 'emergency' updates are pushed through with my McAfeeManager(tm) script
