Hi Everyone

Been looking at some old posts, and there is a UDF created to modify the "AutoHide StartBar", but it requires Explorer to be killed and restarted.

Did anyone find a API call to update/refresh the startmenu, instead of blowing away explorer.

Last post on this subject was 2002, so was seeing if anyone had come up with any ideas.

Thanks

Rich

The UpdateUserParameters() UDF might help.

Sorry Richard, but that is an API call that KiXtart can not do.

As far as I know there currently is no way around it.

You would have to find an external utility to run to accomplish the task without killing Explorer.

Yeah, I will look into creating a external EXE in VB.Net that will set the Taskbar to AutoHide.

It looks like it uses the SHAppBarMessage API, but apart from that I am in the dark. How hard can it be .

Thanks

Rich

Well pinvoke has the sig, but I'm not sure what to do with all that extra code.

Thanks Allen,
that stuff is beyond me, my ultimate goal is to autosize the quick launch to so all the icons. i have some staff that are not too quick and don't know how to resize it and think all their icons are gone.
