Hi Everyone,

Was wondering if anyone has come across this, hopefully I'm missing something simple,

I have logon scripts effectively doing a combination of what OutlookSignature() UDF and Outlook exchange configuration/udf are doing and have problems with getting the "new signature" and "reply" registry entries to stick through the first open of outlook (when it imports the prf),

They appear to be cleared when outlook is opened with a fresh profile,(ie, "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\whichever version\Outlook\Setup','First-Run'" is deleted, to ensure it imports the prf in modern versions of outlook).

The weird thing is some machines don't appear to be removing the signature keys on first open, and some do. I've compared registries before and after on the different machines and am unable to figure out which entry is allowing the signatures to stay through first open.

Does anyone have outlook configured correctly with autosignatures/autoreplies correctly on first open?

I got it setup to check if there is a profile and if nothing is found set the registry key to open a default PRF file. It also creates and sets the signatures in the same script and they are still there when outlook is started for the first time.
Have a look at the post below. This is how I did it at my previous job and I'm also implementing it at my current job.

I have everything working fine, ie profiles are created when needed, ignored when not, signatures/replys (html, rtf, txt) created/modified when needed.

It's just that first outlook startup when after profile is created, the signature registry entries are removed.

They (the signature registry entries) are all there as created by the scripts during login, but are removed by the first start of outlook. (meaning a new user has to login twice to reliably see their autosignature)

Annoyingly I have some machines (same type of machine, version of outlook, permission/level of user) here which do not remove them under the same circumstances.

Must be something I'm missing.....machine side.
