I came up with a design that used a Tablet PC along with a wearable ring scanner but CorpIT would not go for it. I too was planning a cheatsheet of common barcode commands laminated to the underside of the tablet.

CorpIT wanted to go with a gun type scanner running WinCE. The display was too small to see and the keyboard was ABCDE instead of QWERTY. The warehouse guys refused to use it.
