Aye, matey! Arrgh! Them bloody scoundrels at Oracle are notorious for this nasty trick.. As Cap'n Bligh - er - Allen mentioned, the Start /Wait might help. For managed installs that trigger secondary EXEs like Oracle does, we've had to actually use a tool to list the processes, identify the child process that Oracle launched, and then monitor the processes continuously until that process ended. Then we could proceed with additional customization processes, log updates, etc.
