IanDubbelboer IanDubbelboer Fresh Scripter Registered: 2004-06-25 Posts: 24	This is a simple script to demonstrate the problem. Verified crash for me on 4.60 and 4.61 This is being run on a remote XP SP3 computer with the following info: Name: HOME1 IP: 192.168.1.100 FQDN: HOME1.TEST.COM This is an established network with all services confirmed working as in PING, NSLOOKUP, NETSTAT all provide the predictable and correct results. Code: BREAK ON $Display = ENUMKEY("\\HOME1\HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Display",0) ? "Works 1" $Display = ENUMKEY("\\192.168.1.100\HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Display",0) ? "Works 2" $Display = ENUMKEY("\\HOME1.TEST.COM\HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Display",0) ? "Works 3" EXIT If I run this script the results are: Works 1 Works 2 Then Kixtart crashes with "KiXtart main executable has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have a toolbox application I wrote in Kix that does a bunch of admin tasks that I need on a daily basis. Our network spans multiple DNS domains, so there are times when I need to specify the FQDN of a system. In doing so, I found my application crashed. I tracked the crash to ENUMKEY and FQDN's To be honest, I found the same crash happens with WRITEVALUE and READVALUE as well. Edited by IanDubbelboer (2010-04-07 06:55 PM)
