@Jochen - Wassup, Buddy!?!?!
Browse on over to the kix library in the Resources section of my web site and download the latest version (1.1) - it has more functions and includes the extensions originally written by Erik Kaerholm. It's the last function in the list - I guess I need to write some UDFs the begin with "Y" and "Z" now. 
@Arend - good mindreading there! That's an old rev post and I can't edit the original, so there's a later post that points to the web site for updated versions.
