Its been a while since I've seen any posts regarding chr(0)... but if my memory serves, its just not possible to use with kix...

What I am trying to convert is this vbs

String(18, 0)

which based on the Reference means make a string of 18 chr(0)s.

Any way to get around this in kix?

Do you mean CHR 0 as in DEC 48 / HEX 30 ? OR DEC/HEX 00 as in NUL ?

No way that I'm aware of without some type of a shell out, but not directly.

I think maybe Richard or Jooel might have posted some method/work around before but not sure.

yep.
that's basically the reason I first created the kixtart binary package.
kixforms .net can handle these as well.

but.
if you are to pass this string to adodb-connection, that ain't possible yet.

A link to the stuff that I did on byte arrays. It's pretty old and I've not looked at it since I posted it but it may provide what you need: http://www.kixtart.org/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=8&Number=128970

Thanks guys...

I'm still looking into this, but I think I found one, if not two, oddities in kixtart. I'm hesitant to call them bugs yet... ;\) The amazing thing is, and it was purely by accident, I was able to get my script working, which supposedly needed those Chr(0)s. I'll post more about this as I get time.
