Hi everybody,

If just put online the final 1.0 release of Kix2Exe-Gui, a graphical frontend I created for Kix2Exe. By using the GUI, packaging KiXtart scripts with Kix2Exe is a bit easier. \:\)

Below two screenshots of how Kix2Exe-Gui looks like:

Any comments are appreciated!

Regards,
Senser

I have used this for a few things and must say, it is beyond easy to use, and very powerful. Nice job Senser!

Interesting.. The icon looks the same as the icon as what Karen Kenworthy uses for her applications. \:\)

Hello Senser - I was curious whos SFX you were using and why or what issues you were having incorporating user supplied tokenized scripts.

I've just recently started to look at a process where I may start to use SFX but no since in recreating the wheel so to speak.

@NTDOC, I'm using NSIS-scripts to build the executable files. Works really good and is free to use. \:\)

I don't use user supplied tokenized scripts, Kix2Exe tokenises the scripts by itself before adding them to the executable.

I'm using a recompiled version of NSIS because I added the ability to create console-based and consoleless executables. I recommend to take a look at the the ExecWait-function and nsExec-plugin to exectute the Kix32 or Wkix32 processor.

But you could also use Kix2Exe of course.. ;\)

I wonder how this compares with the AdminScriptEditor "Make Exe" option?

Thanks,

Kent

I really can't tell because I've never used ASE!

I don't think it compares since ASE can run elevated without having to resort to RUNAS or CPAU.
