Problem cleared ... there is a new bot out there which is evidently so badly implemented that it effectively causes a DoS. Their IP range has now been banned so that should solve the issue in the short term. There is still a fundamental issue with the sessions table in phpBB 2.x which is resolved in version 3 which was finally released just before Christmas. When I get some free time I will upgrade the KiXforms Bulletin Board, however a lot of other things will change as well so it is not something I want to do a rush job on. Rod.
