To late to plan an alternative for this year indeed.
Did you hear the comments from the secretary of foreign affairs of Mauritania? He said it was totally unnecessary to cancel the rally. He also said that there are no new facts that justify the cancelation and we have taken all necessary precautions and actions to ensure the safety of the drivers, fans, team crews and all other people involved in the rally.
I think this a little about the money the countries make when the Dakar rally passes through.
