I got Heart with Dreamboat Annie coming out the speakers right now. But I'm not coding so I guess it doesn't count. I'm only lurking on korg after a day off yesterday and a massive hangover during the Formula 1 qualification (F1 GP of Turkey tomorrow yeeeehaaaaa) on TV a few hours ago. Couldn't stand the noise of these d#mn racing cars just yet and took the car out to do some shopping with Gary Moore in the CD player. That relaxed my brain a bit and the headache is almost gone \:\)

Sorry just can't get into music where there are supposed to by lyrics but you can't even come close to understanding what comes out of their mouth.

The actual music I can appreciate, but the voice screaming has got to go.

If this thread is rewarmed anyway... I heard The Police whenever I was undisturbed during the private round of that holy grail kixgolf game

Whenever I am not in the middle of a scripting challenge anything of Dream Theater is my favorite.

Have been listening to TSO/Savatage this week to kind of stay in the Christmas mood - especially after seeing them in concert last weekend. They had a special guest performer at the concert - someone my younger colleague (who was at the afternoon concert) called "some old guy - I dunno - but he brought the house down when he came on stage." Anyone remember a little band called The Who? I think that they had a hit song or two... Roger Daltrey ring any bells? Or am I really getting that old?

Really? Maybe 'cause we're in the NY Metro area, where most of the band members grew up, but I can remember special guests at at least 4 of the past 5 Christmas concerts, including Joan Jett and Greg Lake before Roger Daltrey this year. All are rock legends in their own right.

Hmmm ... I saw Savatage back in '93 live in the Rockfabrik Ludwigsburg ...
I have the feeling though that they were in another kind of music back then ?

edit: Oh, and yeah, I know Roger Daltrey and The Who ...

But did you have one of the original QUAD Stereo's for their Quadrophenia album?

LOL - Yeah, the first time I saw a "joystick" - you could move the sound between the 4 speakers by moving the little joystick - no more of that "old fashioned" L/R Balance control! It was my parent's stereo, though.. 8-track tapes. There was a special setting to play Quad 8-tracks or standard 8-tracks, and it was fun to play standard carts in the Quad setting - you'd hear different music from the front speakers than the rear speakers!
