Good catch! Doubles inside strings are indeed not displayed and this should have been mentioned in the manual as such.

Considering this behaviour has always been like this, and that using variables inside strings is discouraged anyway, the issue will not be fixed. (Unless anyone comes up with an "offa I cannee refuse" :-))
