It is possible. What you can do is when the login script runs, delete everything out of their desktop and then copy the shortcuts from your area on the lan to their desktop. ie.
Del %userprofile%\dekstop\*.*
copy \\server\share\*.* %userprofile%\desktop
for user profile, I mean the path that contains the desktop settings. I am not sure of where those are on the WIN95 boxes (I think under c:\windows) since I have not dealt with them in a while.
