ok it's a Linux Server with smb I'am running.
I just try to get familiar with kix, so I thougt it would be a "nice to have" to get all logged in users from my windows Workstation (*sigh* yes, i know. But I have to use windows Clients)

For example: I open a share (whereever) look into it and see:

John.pc01 2006.12.23 9:15
Jack.pc02 2006.12.23 9:40
Harry.pc03 2006.12.22 12:30

I've re-started this thread here as it was going off-topic in General, although I'm now going to move away from KiXtart \:\/

If your users are connecting to a SAMBA share, a better way of getting the info would be to either scan the SAMBA log on the Linux box (which would give you the same information as the log file that you are proposing), or if the users connect to a home drive on the Linux box then enumerate the active connections to get the information.
