If I recall correctly the last update was an update to an other product and not just a version update.

I was thinking the same.
but, actually, the last update went ok, imho and it was just version change.
the long offline period was when the software changed about 2, 3 years ago.

Okay I installed 7.02 on test system and it went okay. Some things I don't like about the upgrade method but will live with.

I will probably take the board offline for a few hours later tonight to do the upgrade and just fix minor things as needed in html.

No, fell asleep and then found a couple more issues when I woke up and looked at the test system.

I think I'm ready now though and will shut the board down probably in about an hour and proceed with the update.

Don't forget IF the board is down for an extended period of time please visit

http://www.kixforms.com and go to the forums for any updates. Hopefully this won't be needed.

Well the board is now running UBB Threads 7.02 on MySQL 5.0.27 and PHP 4.41
(will upgrade PHP to latest version in an upcoming upate).

There were a few items that did not tranfer over with the update such as paths to avatar images, board rules and settings.

Please update your preferences and if you notice something that is not working please let me know and I'll take a look at it.

Hey Doc, looks good so far...

I always use http://www.kixtart.org/ubbthreads as my direct link to the site, and at first I thought the board was down again. But after looking on the kixforms.org and there was no announcement, I gave the main page link a try and whola... might you update the redirect when you get a chance?

Perhaps good idea to make an html page which automaticly redirects everybody from kixtart.org/ubbthreads/ to kixtart.org/forums ?

One thing though, please move the Who's Online / Top Posters / Forum Stats / Newest Members so that it's below the forum structure and not to the left.

also noticed that when logging in, you'er redirected to the start page and not the thread you were in. Perhaps this can't be changed?

Looks pretty good so far. Only thing I can't find is an option to chaneg the size of the input box for posts. sizeis a bit small for my taking, the old board allowed you to ste the # charatcers/rows for it.
