I had enabled it but when the board broke and I had to do a restore the restore settings did not contain the change. Should work now. There are many changes in when and where it reads from memory and cache instead of direct disk reads. There are still some issues with the code and IE but they claim to be working on it. FireFox does handles the CSS differently.

I finally did a restore of the site (not the database) but this did not fix the issue. Finally had to drop the database and re-import it from backup that was done earlier today. There were probably around maybe 10 posts that were lost in this process. If one of the posts belonged to you, sorry, please repost.

Imho this is waaaay to small. Is this something that should be set in the admin side of the board or is it a user relates setting? I couldn't find it in my settings. The old software did not do FULL TEXT searches according to UBB. This new version does but if you have a few people doing these searches on large periods of time the tables lock while the search is happening. Not bad when only a few people on, but if there are large amounts of users the board will crawl. For now just keep in mind what you want/need to search for and adjust accordingly. It might have been coincidence but for now I will leave the search date as it is. Let's get some more days behind us where the board keeps working well before customizing too much.

NTDOC NTDOC Administrator Registered: 2000-07-28 Posts: 11625 Loc: CA	Currently checking with them on their caching method. Found over 65,000 temp files from the board in the C:\WINDOWS\TEMP folder. I deleted all of them after the drop and re-import and they're now back up to about 800 files and 10MB of space. I don't mind them creating/using them, but if it uses this many this fast it needs a solid method to do a cleanup of them as well otherwise within a few weeks or less the OS will quit responding as it will be out of space.
