I've been searching for high and low the right codec that would allow me to play mp3 streaming or shoutcast streams on my windows mediaplayer.

not sure which installation finally fixed it but have installed about everything I could find.
- ffdshow
- klite codec pack
- nimo codec pack
- real alternative

just to name a few.
iirc, klite didn't add anything but removed a huge bunch of stuff as incompatible.

any of you guys know, what's the exact codec to install?
