I beat the tar out of search, but it never quite gets me what I'm after.

I'm just looking for the errorlevels for copy command.

I keep getting a errorlevel 2 but not sure what it means. Code looks ok, but maybe I'm just missing the obvious.

Copy @ldrive + "netlogon\POC_default_outlook_profile.PRF" "w:\windows\POC_default_outlook_profile.PRF" /h /r

There's a link to the error level explanations in the KiXtart Manual at the end. See also the FAQ Forum under Error Code Look up..

I think your problem is @ldrive+"netlogon...

imho, it would translate to:
\\server\netlogon\netlogon...

Jooel,

You were right about one thing there was that error there in the netlogon duplication. Thx for noticing and pointing that out...however, it still gives me an errorlevel 2.

I thought I had searched the manual thru and thru...I looked again for the error handling section but it's only one little paragraph and doesn't giv eme much to work with. I did follow the link to the MSDN site, but holy cow...I had no idea where to even start there.

In case you hadn't figured it out, I'm no script/programming genius...just a guy trying to get this dang script working.

Any other ideas or more specific pointers?

Holy smokes...that was perfect thx Jooel. File not found. that leads me to your closing statement. You say the path is still incorrect...

Copy @ldrive + "\POC_default_outlook_profile.PRF" "w:\windows\" /h /r

I used the ? to display it just to save myself more embarassment and this is the result...

\\thor\netlogon\poc_default_outlook_profile.prf

that seems correct...but was wondering after seing it printed out there....do you think copy maybe doesn't support UNC?

thx for your help

ldrive macro has trailing backslash.

try with:
Copy @ldrive + "POC_default_outlook_profile.PRF" "w:\windows\" /h /r

björn, that's a bit wrong page.
as we saw, user can't be thrown to msdn without exactly correct page.
that's a messy place and they will get lost.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/debug/base/system_error_codes.asp

is the place where you want to send them
