I'm trying to copy a file from the DC to all computers in the domain. I have already made the script and succeed with the printers configuration.
Now, my problem is that sevral computers in the domain has a local language XP OS. which means that the desktop folder is in HEBREW, nothing i have tried worked. It only works on computers with English XP.
Post the relevant portion of code. As far as file and folder paths, KiX should be agnostic, not caring about language. Just make sure you are pulling the path from the registry and not manufacturing it.
copy "\\dc\data$\churi.url" "c:\documents and settings\all users\desktop\" this one works copy "\\dc\data$\churi.url" "c:\documents and settings\all users\שולחן העבודה\" this one doesn't works You might not see the Hebrew text since you dont have the fonts.
It's should be a very simple "copy" but it seems that it doesn't recognize the Hebrew desktop folder.

Whoops, I think my example copies it to the "current users" desktop, not to the "all users". But probably there will be somewhere another key in the registry...

It sure looks like it. Regular users (no admin privs) can not change anything in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE part of the registry on Win2k and up. Reading should be no problem.
The best place is right here on the board. Typically "most" questions are answered in minutes and rarely do any go unanswered for more than a few hours.
