Well, it is a songcontest between all countries of Europe. In my opinion people don't vote for a song but for a (neighboor) country. Especially since the Eastern Europe countries are into his contest.
To me the level of artists and songs is very low... Years ago it was much better. ABBA for example is one of the winners of the Eurovsion contest. Todays artists don't make it to the second round when they take part of Idols...(or American Idol, Popidol, etc)
