That would be Sharon den Adel the singer (and one of the founders) of the band.
The Mother Earth song has one of the coolest videos they made. The part where her face morphs in the face of an owl I think is especially cool.
The video going with Stand My Ground has a lot of similarities with parts of the movie Underworld IMHO. The song Ice Queen was the first big hit they got and the big bump into fame for them here in The Netherlands and some other part of the world. Be careful when listening to this kind of music when you are driving though it cost me two tickets for speeding (a little) almost a year ago.
