No I am not leaving KIX!

But I am leaving my job, or my job is leaving me....

Some of y'all know that my company was bought and the corporate HQ where I work is being shut down, well that day has come.

As a result... kix.isorg.net will be down for a few days, and Kixscripts.org will be down until further notice. I should still be reachable at bryce@isorg.net, minus the few days the domain will be down while it is being moved.

I have to give big kudos to this community and it members! What I have learned from this place has helped me in ways that are immeasurable, and i hope that i have been able to return the favor!

As soon as I land my next job, I will be back slinging the code with the rest of y'all!!

Bryce

Bryce,

I would like to latch on to a copy of the Win9x doc.. I have referred a lot of people to it.. Maybe DrillSergeant has it somewhere?

Thanks!

Dear Bryce,

First of all the best wishes for Next Year and we hope your new job
will give you a lot of challenges.

Once everybody had to deal with a manager (or organization) which
aren't devoted to the job of others and they decided - mostly for
financial reasons/mostly not knowing what is running - to stop run-
ning an environment in a way technical people had created.
Mostly manager are thinking they are very important, but in our
opinion managers are mostly unnecessary within an organization.
They haven't hear of a new way of management at this modern time:
self management.
Of course not because it makes them unemployed and they know
that. Their knowledge (sorry: which knowledge) do they have?

They are mostly talking about all kind of stuff without knowing
where they are talking about.
Mostly such managers are only for a short time related to such orga-
nizations and mostly they doesn't have too much friends at all.
They don't understand what the impact can be by moving from one
environment to another one. The general in public knows that most
merger of two or more organizations the result are influencing in
a negative way.

A nice simular things we see at our country with family doctors.
Most of the time of your visit will be using for updating your
general information in a computer and only a very small piece of
time he will be using (try) to make one's diagnosis. In other words
they are doing the job you are asking for.

For us was and is the decision of using KiXtart it was freeware
and is careware for using. So not very expansive at all and can
easily be used in any kind of network environment. Also the knowledge
will not be gone by moving to another job, because kixtart can easily
be implemented and the price can never be a bottleneck.

Let's hope we see you soon back.
greetings.

Bryce -
M&A - only made to make the top dogs $$, rarely helps anyone else. Sorry you got caught in the wheels of 'progress'. This board is going to miss your insight and depth of knowledge. Can't help you much on the hunt from here in Chicago, unfortunately. Best wishes on landing the new job, and looking forward to your return.

Bill
