I noticed that the computer management console\shared folder was showing some users with "duplicate" sessions from the same workstation.

After further investigation I found that it was caused because

Session A: they are access files on that server from their home directory map
Session B: they are access files on the server with drives mapped in a script using the "use" command?

How do I correct this? It is causing my license manager to have fits (each user two licenses)

stop the licensing service.

(seriously, the licensing service is not very sophisticated in the way it tracks licenses. A better way to track licenses would be to use a 3rd party tool or just simply document your licenses well, and keep those documents up to date.)

We have found that the "Licensing Service" is truly a trouble making process. We have disabled it on all 2000 servers. Our licensing is maintained contractually using SMS data.

Thanks for the input.

stopping the licensing is one of several solutions I thought of before posting the question.

The other is to leave the home share empty and let the script map all the drives.

I was just hoping there was a clean way to get microsoft active dirctory, licensing and kixtart to work together.

Again thanks for your input.

Stop the license service. I do that on all my servers with a GPO.
Leave the home share empty and let the script map all the drives. That is the route I took.
