the shell has always had some sorta acronym on unix and it's clones.
but so is cmd.
if some tool has oddified name, like that YaST, you must keep in mind that there indeed is lot more than just few setup tools.
no matter what the system is, the names are odd to the user who hasn't used them.
on the other hand, normal user never needs to know them.
anyway, if you are not comfortable with it, just go with WAMP and most likely they are fine with it.
