Seems to me like you should go to the root of the problem instead, and find out why the GPO isn't hitting the clients. My first guess is that you haven't tied these clients subnet to a Site in the domain (well, providing that you've got the computer accounts where they should be of course). Second thing is to have a looksie in the event viewer and run gpresult.exe etc.
