Well, we don't have SMS here (yet), and our initial planning and testing show that it's not the panacea we were hoping for.
I imagine we will be running both SMS and WSUS for a while to address different requirements.
Hopefully I will be able to initiate and control SMS updates from the client in the same way that I can with WSUS updates. The client must be able to initiate the updates and confirm it's state so that it is not released for use until it is certain that it is fully patched.
