Sorry I was unable to confirm this issue as only have a few NT4 systems and all of them are running IE6 SP1 and all reply both locally and remotely with the correct values.

I will attempt to track down the issue later this week from home on a virtual machine and see if I can see what's going on.

 
I will move this to the General forum though since it has no script included here to discuss.
