Allen Allen KiX Supporter Registered: 2003-04-19 Posts: 4572 Loc: USA	Yes, I use it quite a bit, because most of my customers qualify as a Small Business. What kind of things do you want to know? There are some differences... especially when it comes to wizards and preconfigured security. The big limiting factor of SBS is it has to be a domain controller, and it can be the only SBS in the domain. If you need to add other servers, they will have to be a regular install of Windows 2003/2000/NT Server. _________________________ (... better days ahead)

Are there concerns of using most (or all) of the functionality of SBS at the same time? I've known of some all-inclusive applications that start getting buggy when you turn everything on. As a matter of fact, I bet this configuration has to be supported, else how would you ever grow into a bigger domain/network? _________________________ (... better days ahead)

Sealeopard Sealeopard KiX Master Registered: 2001-04-25 Posts: 11165 Loc: Boston, MA, USA	The main drawback of SBS is a) the 75-user limit and b) that all server components MUST be installed on the same server. I would only recommend SBS if you are sure you will never grow beyond 75 users and you do not rely on heavy usage of the individual server components. Otherwise, in order to ensure sufficient business continuity and desaster recovery, I'd ratehr spend some more money on multiple servers, set up redundantly and separate the various componenst, e.g. Exchnage on a separate server and SQL Server on yet another server. The additional licensing and hardware costs come in very handy in case of desaster. Also, have a consultant design the intial setup and assist in rolling out the setup with the sysadmin performing the actual work (training!) and the consultant looking over the shoulder. _________________________ There are two types of vessels, submarines and targets.
