Hi Erik,Don't envy you having to keep up on 2 different AntiVirus programs. Are these different companies being put together or something? Why different standards?
Anyway, how do you get the date of the current Parent or Today? How do you know whether or not to take some kind of action. You can post the current file dates, but how to you interactively take action if there not what you want?
Since I only have to deal with 7.x, my code allows you to set any date you want (say 7 day instead of the shown 90) or you could check its own Parent server and do some other kind of comparison. I'll have to check, but I think the user has the default rights to check against the Parent server.
Sorry, but I won't be able to really help with trying to manage all the problems of 2 separate Antivirus programs. Its a hard enough job trying to keep one version up to date. Of of almost 3,000 users I still keep ending up with about 200+ users now that have trouble for one reason or another keeping the Def files up to date.
I've found a couple work arounds, but not all of them yet.
When I get back to work, I'll check and see what I find or get between 9x and NT.
Thanks for the reminder that the two OSs use different methods for storing some times.
