here are the test results with net send:

C:\>net send dh01094\h0109401 "Test"
The syntax of this command is:
NET SEND
{name | * | /DOMAIN[:name] | /USERS} message
C:\>net send h0109401 "Test"
An error occurred while sending a message to H0109401.
The message alias could not be found on the network.
