You have turned off Explicit so that might be why you're getting by, but your code and mine are not the same.
$OS=SetOption('Explicit','off')
Though even with Explicit off I would think that Dimming a parameter would still cause KiX to complain, but can't say for certain as I've not actually tested that theory.
