If he is meaning 'repath' the %UserProfile% directory. I have been successful on a number of machines(NT 4.0 workstation and XP Professional) by just changeing a few registry entries(provided of course that installed software plays by windows rules).
I did this by hand though. I have not tried this in a kix script, even though it should be able to be emulated. There are provisions though. Like the user you are moving can not be logged on.
I simply created the new directory. Moved the profile to the new directory. Update the registry keys.
