Shawn... I like that power Icon...

If you rip it from XP, you may as well get the other 2 (logoff, restart) icons as well

Kixforms is limited to icons that are 16x16 at 16 colors ... so some of these fancy XP icons are not possible. The reason is that they take too much space, one XP icon can take anywhere from 50kb each and up !

Moricons.dll,39 or Shell32.dll,17 : for remote control

eventvwr.exe,0; for eventviewer
shell32.dll,84 or the little book/yellowpages for AD Users&pcs
shell32.dll, 9 for C:\ (if you want to you could draw c:\ on top of it :-)

shell32.dll,25 or 44 for poweroff

or anything that you think better or appropriate

Request of AV info:

Need your AV product's:
ServiceName (and exe name)
Add/remove reg key
HKLM\Software Key
Default install dir

I have the McAfee info, Doc has the Norton stuff, anyone with other products?

it is a place to start...

You post your version, we'll worry about the others as they come in.

To be realistic, I figure Norton, Mcafee, and trend will get the greatest majority of AV clients

I actually ment that you should worry already as the requested info imho is pointless.

instead of requesting the default install dir, or addition to it, ask where in registry is the install directory foundable.

Looks nice!

Don't forget to apply a thousands-separator for byte values

I don't know how much Doc has done, I know I haven't done much in months to it.

I have had a number of people request this, so here is what I have:

www.wheelerfam.com/kixtart/sim-1.31-radimus.kix

YMMV

if you could try to run this, I have had anumber of people try to run this and they are saying it doesn't run for them... it doesn't even connect to local machine.

I can't tell if it is a firewall issue, an OS lang issue, or just something unforseen.

It will run fine for me an a fresh typical XP install, so I cannot see what the issues are

Just tried it. Seems like what's supposed to work does work. Only odd thing is that when i initally launch it, it displays the loopback address for my ip. if i type my machine name it displays the correct ip.

XP SP2, firewall disabled.

hmm... how about an external XML or INI-formatted standard for adding "tabs"/applications to this? Ie, where you could configure a tab-name, and then for each row a value and routine to get it?

I have it hit the loop back address on startup. That is expected behavior.

Nope I have not done much of anything with it either. Tried to do some new graphical methods, but then Shawn, Rad, and I got too busy to work on it.

The Company where I'm at now is moving their facility so I'll be busy as heck here in a few hours with a lot of new configurations.

Maybe in another month if things slow down a bit we can work on it again more.

This SIM form is awesome! I have a query. From a seperate form, is there any way to call this and display the information based on the computer account selected on the seperate form. Maybe put this another way, I right click on a form which has computers extracted from AD on it. From a menu that appears, SIM is an option. Select SIM and it opens and displays the information of the computer account that was right clicked on.

no, but it should be possible to pass a cmdline parameter to it and edit the script to accept it...

ok... here you go. make the changes in Bold

$_=SetConsole('Hide')

$target = iif($target > ' ', $target, '127.0.0.1')

;************* Set default Values if not exist in reg ************

and

;************* TargetNameBox ***********
$TargetNameBox = $TargetGroupBox.Controls.TextBox($target, 10, 20, 105, 20)
$TargetNameBox.OnLostFocus = "Connect(Trim(Join(Split($targetNameBox.Text,'\'))))"
$TargetNameBox.OnKeyDown = "ComputerOnKey()"
;*************************************

and then call it like this:
C:\>kix32 "C:\sim-1.31-radimus.kix" $target="remotepcnameORip"

Now that sounds interesting, now I just need to find out how to modify the script through a cmd line.
