Hello,

im pretty new to kixtart. but i played 1 day with it and made a script. now i want to execute it on my machine for every windows boot. but i dont know how and i already searched for the answer

im using win-xp. its a domain-member.

Please explain it easy

Do you mean every boot, or every login?

Does this apply to every user on this computer, or only your user?

If you are an administrator then just add it to your login process.

If you are not an administrator the simplest method is:
  1. Create a shortcut on your desktop to run the script
  2. Drag the shortcut to your "Startup" folder.

No, im not! but i would like to add the script anyway to something like my profile or something. startup is too cheap solution in my eyes

well, if you logon always to same machine, you can use run-key instead (registry)

if you use many machines, ask for your administrator to add it for you to your personal script-path.

hmm. if he's german, he could think about something like "trivial", because the german word "billig" can be used for "cheap" too.

Yeah, he could be one fellow German ... He's writing 'i' instead of 'I', common mistake around here

But even if it is 'trivial' it works and the principle of KISS is still valid these days.

(computer management / properties / local user / profile / loginscript


or like that: start->run-> gpedit.msc -> computer configuration -> windows properties -> ..
