this last one was pretty rough...

there are many places that got hit 3 times from different hurricanes in the last 4-5 weeks.

millions of people without electricity, some without it for weeks., if you think about that, it is like being back in the 1600's. No grocery stores, no fast food, no gas pumps, no refrigerators (no dairy products), no phones/internet/TV, and no Air conditioning; (for you northern latitude types, this is where you cool the air in a room and remove humidity so you don't feel like you are living inside of an aquarium), and in many cases no jobs/work. Many prople spent their savings living in hotels and such out of the disaster areas the first time(s)

personally, I have only been without power for a few hours, But I have seen areas that look like bombs went off... My apopgies to people that really live where bombs go off... and to places like Haiti where they are lucky to still be alive and many were not so lucky.

the Red Cross and Salvation Army isn't just for third world countries...
