I thought General was for anything... No one is being abusive or upset and such.

I thought that general was 'free speach'. OK i agree with general forum rules about abuse and such, but I don't think that this discussion breaks any rules.

I am not involved with US polotics at all, being in the UK. But I am finding it interesting to get a 'over the pond' view on something that is also important here, the Iraq 'conflict' and how it is affecting the US vote.

Here our PM is struggeling with the aftermath of what appears to be bad inteligence. In our recent local elections his party has suffered the worst defeats of their rule. Mainly due to this issue.

If this discussion breaks the rules then I agree with the 'close it' decision, if it is just unconfortable then I think that we should be allowed to continue.

Unfortunately, political discussions can turn sour pretty fast, thus I've tried to proactively prevent desaster.

"volvo is great car, due it's proactive desaster avoidance, you will never be in danger. nor you will get nowhere as the car is programmed not to start. for your protection."

I think that any moderator intervention has to be done whenever the discution really turns sour to the point of the dissaster, not when there is a normal interaction of ideas.

Thought I really dissagree with some of the opinions given I undestand they are just opinions and if I try to persuade those opinions insulting or expressing myself in an offensive way I would undertans and support your intervention Jens.

In my opinion moderation and prevention are two different things. This is no kindergarden I see lot of respect in all Korgers, we are adults and dont need to be censured.

Well I think there all more talk then action, but after watching a few minutes of Kerry's speach tonight I can see Bush will have his hands full trying to upstage him.

Well if the polls are close already my guess is then that with such a speech unless Bush pulls a WMD or a RABBIT out of his hat that Kerry will probably win the election.

Personally I don't have much faith in either candidate.

...or they announce they've got Bin Laden... as that would be a monumental confidence boost for Bush... I won't be surprised if it happens.
