I apologize if this has already been discussed but I am apparently have som search issues.

Every morning I have someone that sits down at three different consoles and checks for available drivespace and any critical issues in the event logs. Im in a mixed NT/2000 environment with about 80 local servers and 35 remote servers to check. As you can well guess this is quite time consuming.

Anyone have any ideas?

Appreciate you're taking the time to read this.

Check ReadEventlog() and DiskSpace() .
Hope it helps.

Thank you for your response.

Sorry about the vague nature. What Im looking for is a way to gather the free drive space and critical eventlog entries on all our servers in a way that is more efficient and readable..

Are you looking for someone to give you ready code or ideas to code it yourself?

Microsoft has a utility called EventComb that is a great way to consolidate event log entries from numerous servers into comma delimited format if you don't want to code.

I dont want to be spoon fed a solution, never learn that way. Im just wanting ideas on how to tie the two tasks together if possible.

Here's a suggestion ... do the whole bloody thing in Kixtart - it would be much more interesting and educational and fun than forking-out hundreds of dollars for some off-the-shelf product.

Use a combination of COMNetView() and ReadEventlog()/DiskSpace() combination to scan through all domain computers automatically or use an array to scan select computers. It'll be on the order of 10-20 lines of code plus the referenced UDFs from the UDF Forum. Straight-forward stuff as you've already have the necesarry UDFs.
