For some reason on some but not all of our W95 clients KIX32 hangs when running any macro that extracts information from the NT user Db (@COMMENT, @FULLNAME, @HOMEDIR etc.) all other Kixtart macros work fine, the clients can access the NETLOGON folder and PDC server, KIXRPC is running and all the clients are running the same version of W95 and Y2K updates.Anybody have any ideas Ian ih@ey.bm

IanHmm I may be clutching at straws here but it could be an MSNET32.DLL problem? Search this board for msnet32.dll I think there is a newer version out. Win98 seems ok but SOME 95 clients have probs with Kix. Good hunting. Rgds

Thanks for the reply, I have tried the latest version of MSNET32.DLL, it doesn't make any difference. I am most definately clutching at straws having tried every other troubleshotting hint I've found on the net.

This is a known bug. You must add the following dummy files to your NT login script.if exist c:\windows\*.* exho . >c:\windows\lmscript.$$$ if exist c:\win95\*.* exho . >c:\windows\lmscript.$$$

I am having a similar problem with several win98 machines. The script itself doesnt hang, but he message box, saying that the script is running remains on the screen after the script window closes, and never closes until I hit the cancel button. Once cancelled it seems to work fine, and it appears that the kix script finishes with no problems. if anyone has any additional ideas, they would be greatly appreciated Sam

When I run the Kixtart script, the Dos box with KIX32 run, and then the NT login script runs. It hangs for a couple of seconds and disappears itself. I'm running both 32 bit Novell client and Microsoft client to access both Novell and NT domain. I'm wondering if there is a way I can make the DOS box disappear. Please let me know if you know something about this. Thank you
