Hi folks!

As I said, this doesn't belong here really, but I was wondering if anyone knows any good BB's for discussing general WinNT & 2000 / server & workstation / domain topics?

Of course this is the ultimate forum for KiX , but are there any comparative for WinNT?

(having some NETLOGON trouble's here..)

Mask

Might want to check cramsession aka brainbuzz (they have a kixtart board) ... been there a time or two - seems relatively active ... but I'd post an OFF-TOPIC WinNT question here before I'd go anywhere else

Cramsession Boards

Thanks MCA, Shawn, & jpols!

Well, the off-topic question is that i'm having serious troubles with workstations and Win9x machines verifying Username/pwd to our DC's (NT4 domain). All of our DC's are on our "HQ" (201.202.2.x), but in our shops (201.202.x.x), some machines has troubles logging in. This was introduced with a new BDC that we installed this summer. I don't know if it's related to that one or anything, but even if though the clients enter the correct Username/Pwd, they still canot log on (it takes sometimes several minutes before they even get a deny message).

All our shops on the various subnet's are connected to our HQ via 128kbit/s X-line's. there has never been any problems before... I'm getting real gray hair's here.. been searching like hell for a solution... I've checked so that the DC's synchronize the SAM, and (at least I think) they do...

Any suggestions?

Dear Masken,

Sometimes you see an answer is coming. Sometimes you must wait a short time
and in your case a little bit longer.

FYI:

We were also looking at the same "brainbuzz" site as Shawn mention, but be
aware of the fact:

"topics are really reading by moderators and those topics will
be removed without any advise 'where to place them'.
for us is the kixtart forum the only place for kixtart related
stuff"

This problem doesn't have our great site kixtart.org.
Greetings.
