Getting the hang of it

Hi. After attempting to login to my domain I receive an error that reads 'Unknown command Rem'. Rem is on the first line of my login script that is called when a user logs in.
Within the policy ->Logon Properties I have a batch file.
The batch file contains a series of remarks and then a call to kix32.exe and the script.
It does not appear to be recognising 'Rem' as a remark and instead is trying to process the 'Rem' as a command which it obviously does not recognise?
Can anybody tell me why this would happen?

It appears as though the Kix32.exe is having difficulty interpreting and reading the batch file?

The contents of the Batch file:

@Echo Off

Rem Common Windows NT and Windows 95 KiXtart script.

Rem The "%0\..\" path allows the logon script processor to
Rem correctly resolve the specified files, irrespective of
Rem the DC they are run from. If you want to debug use kix32.exe -d

%0\..\Kix32.exe -d %0\..\LiverpoolLoginScript.kix

Please post your batch file and script as well as what version of KiXtart. Is this an NT 4 Domain or a 2000 AD?

That sounds more like an internal command error rather then a KiX error.

Please tell me you're not trying to run a batch file using kix. Of course it wouldnt work. What makes you think that kix would understand batch scripting commands?

In the AD, within the Policy -> Scripts (Logon/Logoff) -> Logon -> I have a batch file.
Within the batch file I call the kix32.exe with the login script (script.kix).
This was working fine until today?

As an FYI..

It is better (more efficient) to use "::" on the lines you want to REM (remark) out in a Batch file.
