Hmm, think I found the solution.
I've been testing a UDF on various operating systems, all of which are virtual machines created with VMWare Workstation 4.0.5. VMWare seems to create an automatic share to the host system that is not mapped to a specific drive letter. All virtual machines created the 2250 error (due to this share not being released?) while physical machines did not create that error.
