On this page http://userpages.umbc.edu/~mabzug1/cs/md5/md5.html
you can download a DLL (aaCServer.DLL). When registered with regsvr32 it may be used as a COM object from a kix script.

using kix to connect to database, that has a table with user and password fields. Password data is md5 checksum.
So we use it to store passwords.

Well I can add several "digest" algorithms to HABobjects.dll
Digest: HMAC, HMAC_MD5, HMAC_SHA1, MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA1

Is this of any interest?

It looks interesting. Are you willing to add these algorithms and eventually others suggestions, that one could think of?

I can add these Digest algorithms and will consider adding other objects if they are implemented as OO Perl modules.

Why is this in the KiX Suggestions forum? Unless you can show how this is related to an enhancement to build into KiX, I will move this to the General forum.

I think you should move it to where you think it belongs.
