nope, that will be roughly €384 or $457 from 3500 SEK to be more exact hehe...

It's a "Network Technical" PC.. Sweden's largest manufacturer. And they don't special build or brand anything (not like Compaq's disgusting special built power supplies, ROM's, firmwares & drivers etc that's impossible to work with for example), so it's just standard retail components in them.

Should perhaps also mention that we sell their stuff, so we've got purchase prices...

I have put in the request for it.. Good luck! It seems silly to me to put up that kind of money and no infrastructure to support it. 100MB is all we have on the floor.

Dear,

A 2002 survey of International Telecommunications Union (ITU) shows that Sweden and Denmark have the highest internet usage. For Sweden it is 85 procent.
For our country it is 79 procent, which is the 6th place on that list. Countries like Niger, Burkina Fasso and Mali have the lowest value. Less then 10 percent of
the population can use internet.
greetings.

Dear,

About the smallest one we are using for some software development is a Pentium 386sx with 64 MB memory.
Very useful it is to see which parts of program is slowest one. I.e. a pentium run of 1 minute can cost on such
small system over 1 hour. So details will be clear.
Of course it doesn't means we have something with higher capacity. Something like 100Mb up/download network
connection.
greetings.

Boy are you ever right on the color thing. It is amazing how many complaints we get since DELL went to black PC's. "Can I get a black one", "Why is mine white and hers black?", "Opps I spilled coffee on my keyboard, can I get a black one to replace it?!"

We buy DELL's right now the current spec is...

GX 270
PROCC: P4 2.4ghz
HARDDRIVE: 40gig
RAM: 256mb
MOUSE: Optical, wired
CDROM: CD
OTHER: floppy

Of course since I proccess most of the PC's for the company and DELL sent us a PC not on the PO or Shipping Label and it happens to be under my desk...

System Model OptiPlex GX270
Processor: P4 2.4ghz
RAM: 1,024.00 MB
HARDDRIVE: 40gig
CDROM: CDRW/DVD
MONITOR: 17" flat screen CRT(not much, but better then the rest)

Yup, its incredible!! I have to literally cascade three Pc's from different departments when a new one is ordered. So if a user wants a new pc, I have to cascade the Pc's and do about three builds!! And low and behold if they have a "white printer" All because my boss wont buy white Pc's or my suggestion a can of white lacquer !!!
One girl was actually in tears because her fellow colleague got a black one.......

As soon as you get that sorted out, can you let me know how to do this? I have tried with a LinkSys to no avail.

Our latest PCs:

Dell 4550:
3.06GHZ
1GB RAM
60GB HD (of which 10GB are used for the system partition)
100MBit LAN
ATI 9700 PRO graphics card
build-in soundcard
18'' LCD & 17'' LCD for myself
2x 19'' CRT for the video processing comp

And our latest "toys" for research purposes are these:

StereoGraphics SynthaGram Monitors
SG222 and SG202
Quote:

The StereoGraphics SynthaGram™ Glasses-Free 3DTM monitor provides extremely clear, bright, and crisp Stereo3D still and moving images, without the use of special eyewear

We are planning to inetgrate these two monitors as "windows" into a so-called "tilted room". This is a romm where a person lays flat on his/her back but gets the impression he/she is actually standing upright. We're using a near-frictionless pulley system to generate the impression of gravity together with the ability of side-to-side movement. The monitors will display animated 3D images in order to enhance the perception of actually standing in a room.
The images/videos are pretty impressing and do generate real three-dimensional impressions.
