One simple thing you can do to make the main page look a bit more up to date is change the news to a scroller...Like the one I did below. Well I didnt right the javascript. You could then set the height of the scroller to match the other parts of the main page...Eliminating having to scroll down where there is no body to see all news...As Les stated above. Just an idea...
