So would I. I did not write it and I don't know if I can get to it. Technically I was not supposed to be this involved, but no one else could figure out how to go to Technet's Script Center and cut and paste.
I know it is nothing special. The only thing "special" is that it has a particlur userid and password. All it takes afterwords is a logoff. You can probably RCMD it. I did not have good luck starting a process through WMI.
No worries. I am very limited to how this package is to work. Basically the NT Workstation (which today is joined to a NT4 resource domain) must "join itself" to the new Active Directory domain. Doing this remotely, or scripting it remotely is not an option. Its has to be delivered as a stand-alone package, run on the target wkstn, etc. No outside monkey business allowed ...
Yes, but up until now I have not been able to run all these cool AD scripts in my environment. I used to poke fun at Chris all the time by asking "Why doesn't your script work for me". He would politely remind me that I'm not running AD and I would always respond "oh yeah, forgot about that"
Like I said though, in a bit of a unique situation here in that this has to run on the target workstation itself and work without outside intervention. But once "the flip" (as we call it) happens, can use these cool tools.
rad, that sounds like what I need. since you have posted a few scripts of this nature, can you provide me a quick URL link to the specific script your referring to.
